VICAP Tool Configuration

In the early 2000s, VI CAP had three different electronic schemes to serve the varied needs of law enforcement agencies. The first of these is a stand- alone version. In this configuration, the VI CAP software system operates on one computer, with one sign-on and password. Opportunities for tracking work and changes to the database are lost in this configuration, but it works well in smaller agencies with only a few personnel.
