Another feature of New VI CAP software is the ability to enter victim or crime scene photographs into the database and have them associated with a particular case. A written description cannot capture the details of bindings applied to a victim, but a photograph can do so with great clarity. Moreover, although case jackets and photographs can disappear over time, data entered into the New VI CAP database are not lost and are available for later retrieval and analysis.
