SECOND EDITION
The first victim
was James William Taylor, twenty-three-months old. On September 23, 1977,
Johnson states that she went in to wake up James from his nap. When she was
unable to rouse him, she called for emergency medical personnel, and the child
was rushed to the hospital. Attempts to resuscitate James were unsuccessful,
and he was pronounced dead at 9:15 A.M. His death was attributed to sudden
