Common Forensic Findings. The forensic
findings of a staged domestic homicide are similar to those for spontaneous
domestic murder. The exception is when the suspect includes himself as an
apparent victim. If the per- son posing the greatest threat (usually the male)
to the alleged intruder receives no or nonlethal injuries while others are
killed who pose less of a threat are killed, the investigator should become
suspicious that the crime has been staged.
