Crime Scene Indicators Frequently Noted. The location of the crime is usually the source of the cash. The weapon is bought to the scene and is most likely removed with the offender. The amount of physical evidence found at the scene is dependent on the offender’s mastery and adeptness and the time available.

This offender tends to spend more time at the crime scene, so there will be signs of interaction between the offender and victim. There are generally indications of a completed burglary or robbery. The crime scene commonly is controlled and orderly: the offender is not surprised by the events that sur- round and include the killing. In most cases, little or no effort is expended to conceal the body.
