Investigation

The investigation of the shootings revealed that Wesbecker had a long his- tory of mental and emotional problems. Two marriages had ended in divorce. He had been hospitalized on a voluntary basis at least three times between 1978 and 1987 for these problems. He was reported to be withdrawn and troublesome in his workplace and experienced job-related stress problems.
