Victimology

Jennifer Sidal, age twelve, and her sister, Elaine, age fourteen, had decided to quit looking for Jenny’s bicycle, which had been stolen a few hours earlier. It was eight o’clock and already quite dark out, so the two headed for home, Jenny on foot and Elaine on her bike. As Elaine rounded the corner of an electric supplies store, she glanced back and saw Jenny walking slowly, still a block away.
