The offender engages in sex prior to death. “The Sexually Sadistic Criminal and His Offenses” (Dietz, Hazelwood, & Warren, 1990) lists the most prevalent sexual acts forced on victims: anal rape, forced fellatio, vaginal rape, and foreign object penetration (in decreasing order). A majority of offenders forced their victims to engage in more than three of these activities.
