Background

During the last year of his incarceration at California Men’s Colony at San Luis Obispo, Roy Lewis Norris met Lawrence Sigmund Bittaker. Both in- mates had an extensive history with the law that involved a substantial amount of violent criminal activity. As the relationship developed, the two discovered several topics of mutual interest: dominating, torturing, and raping women. They also shared the attitude that with any future sexual assaults on women, they would leave no witnesses.
