510: COMPUTERS AS THE TARGET

Computers as the target of the crime occurs when the computer itself is the “victim” of the crime. The computer can also be a target when it or its components (hard drives, monitor, software) are stolen, but these types of crimes are classified under larceny or theft and are not included in the 510 classification.
